Your Impact:
The Purchaser/Buyer Administrator is responsible for supporting the purchasing functions of the organization by sourcing, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for operations. This role ensures timely and cost-effective purchasing while maintaining ongoing operations, managing purchase orders, creating purchasing orders and supporting administrative tasks within the supply chain function. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of purchasing best practices.
Core Responsibilities:
- Execute purchase orders (POs) for the renewables business unit based on approved requisitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Schedule delivery with vendors and service providers as needed.
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels and coordinate with operations or warehouse teams to prevent stock outs or overstocking.
- Process and track purchase orders from creation to receipt and payment.
- Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries in coordination with accounting and receiving teams.
- Support data entry, filing, and document control within the procurement system.
- Prepare regular purchasing and cost reports for management review.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
Core Experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience using ERP or purchasing software preferred.
