Job Description

At Old Skull Games, we create games built around strong gameplay, sharp game feel, and meaningful player experiences.
We believe great games are meant to be played, shared, and talked about — whether that’s through tight multiplayer moments with friends, or deeper single-player experiences that resonate with more engaged players.

Today, the studio is evolving:
Continuing to build high-energy multiplayer experiences, while also developing more ambitious, gameplay-driven titles
Working on recognized IPs alongside original creations
Raising the bar on both creative ambition and production quality
We are a 60+ people studio based in Lyon, collaborating with leading industry partners and building the next generation of our games.

Why is this role different ?
This is not a “plug-and-play” business role.
We are intentionally open on seniority, from strong mid-level to experienced senior, because what matters most to us is the person, the mindset, and the ambition.

Depending on your profile:
- You might own deals end-to-end and drive the commercial strategy of the company
- Or start with a strong focus on deal execution and progressively take ownership of strategy, partner portfolio, and long-term positioning of the studio
- Or work closely with the CEO (whose original background is in business development) to progressively expand your scope

We will shape the role around the right person.

What you’ll work on
- Identify and develop new business opportunities (publishers, platforms, IP holders)
- Build and nurture long-term partnerships, this is key to OSG vision.
- Drive our pitching efforts and present our projects with clarity and conviction
- Collaborate closely with production, creative, and leadership teams
- Represent the studio on trade shows, worldwide.
- Help position Old Skull Games as a trusted, proactive, high-quality partner

Depending on your experience, you may also:
- Lead negotiations and deal structuring
- Drive strategic partnerships and co-development opportunities
- Contribute to long-term studio growth and positioning

Qualifications

Who we’re looking for
More than a CV, we’re looking for a fit.
- You have experience in game industry business development (5 years minimum)
- You understand how games are made, or you are deeply curious about it
- You’re comfortable navigating both creative conversations and business constraints
- You have strong communication and relationship-building skills
- You show initiative, you don’t wait to be told what to do
- You are organized, determined and able to handle multiple projects at once
- You are fluent in French and English.
Most importantly you care about building something impactful with a team, not just closing deals.

Additional Information

What you’ll find at Old Skull Games :
- A studio where initiative is encouraged and trust is given
- A culture that values clarity, collaboration, and shared ambition
- Projects that balance creative ownership and production excellence
- A team passionate about making games that people genuinely enjoy together
- Direct access to leadership and real impact on the studio’s trajectory

If you’re looking for a role where you can shape, build, and grow not just execute, we’d love to talk
