Chief Engineer- Traffic, minimum 8 years experience required

Job Description

•    Study and evaluate temporary access points for main streets as authorized by the client’s Department. 
•    Study and evaluate major traffic diversions implemented for large metro projects being constructed in Dubai, and make the necessary technical modifications to these diversions as needed. 
•    Perform necessary field inspections on traffic diversions and road projects, and submit the required reports. 
•    Submit technical traffic reports to the management according to the nature and needs of the work. 
•    Study and issue permits for closing main roads and bridges during emergencies or general maintenance. 
•    Conduct necessary studies to provide required routes for heavy transport vehicles. 
•    Study plans related to any activity or event that could affect the smooth flow of traffic, and coordinate with the concerned authorities. 
•    Review plans and blueprints submitted by consultants and engineers in the client Department, and follow up on projects related to traffic diversions. 
•    Review applications (plans/blueprints) from authority departments and clients regarding traffic diversions, ensuring compliance with the conditions specified in No Objection Certificates (NOCs). 
•    Coordinate with other departments within the Authority and external entities—such as Police, government departments, and private sectors—to make necessary arrangements for maintaining the road network and ensuring user safety. 
•    Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and representatives of service entities assigned to implement traffic diversion projects to ensure the application of public safety standards and conditions. 
•    Strictly adhere to the information security policies, procedures, and processes of the client. 
•    Follow information security data sharing guidelines accurately for all internal and external data transfers. 
•    Immediately report any information security incidents to your direct manager and the IT support team for quick guidance and resolution. 
•    Actively participate in all designated information security training and awareness sessions to enhance your knowledge and address potential information security risks. 
•    Always comply with instructions and guidance provided by your direct manager in alignment with information security requirements. 
 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Architecture from a recognized university with 2 years of practical experience in the field.
