Job Opportunity
- Regional Category Manager – Electronics role leading sourcing strategy across the APAC region.
- Opportunity to drive category excellence, supplier partnerships, and improvements in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), lead times, and speed to market.
- Strategic and hands-on role working closely with global leadership and regional stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
What you will be doing
- Develop and execute regional electronics category strategies aligned with global direction
- Embed category management and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) practices across APAC manufacturing sites
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Technology, Operations, Supply Chain, and IBP teams
- Manage supplier selection and award decisions based on TCO (cost, quality, delivery, working capital)
- Drive lead-time reduction and speed-to-market improvements through cross-functional collaboration
- Lead supplier segmentation, panel management, and SRM execution
- Strengthen supplier performance and long-term partnerships
- Execute low-cost country sourcing initiatives to improve competitiveness
- Ensure adherence to sourcing governance, policies, and strategic frameworks
- Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution at supplier and factory level
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- Strong experience in direct material sourcing within electronics manufacturing or complex product environments
- Proven experience in a regional APAC sourcing or category management role
- Deep understanding of electronics components, assemblies, or equipment categories
- Track record of working closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes in a matrixed organisation
- High level of ownership with ability to balance strategy and execution
- Strong communication skills and cultural awareness across APAC
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- APICS and/or MCIPS certification (or working towards)
- Experience in global or matrix organisations
- Exposure to Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) frameworks
- Experience with low-cost country sourcing and TCO optimisation strategies
