Job Opportunity
As a Cloud Engineer, you will design, implement, and support secure, scalable cloud infrastructure aligned with enterprise architecture, security standards, and regulatory requirements. This role contributes to cloud adoption, data centre migration, and cloud security initiatives across the organisation.
What you will be doing
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure components including VPCs, subnets, routing, and security controls.
- Build and operate secure cloud landing zones aligned to enterprise and security architecture standards.
- Implement and manage IAM integration, identity federation, and least‑privilege access models.
- Support migration of applications and workloads from on‑premise data centres to cloud platforms.
- Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Embed cloud security controls including logging, monitoring, encryption, and vulnerability management.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and architecture teams to ensure secure‑by‑design deployments.
- Troubleshoot cloud platform issues and support operational teams.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and architectural diagrams.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring
- 4–6 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles.
- Hands‑on experience designing and operating AWS environments.
- Experience supporting cloud migration initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS mandatory; Azure/GCP desirable).
- Understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security principles.
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices and the shared responsibility model.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Nice to have
- Exposure to multi‑cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
- Certifications in AWS or cloud security.
- Experience with advanced automation strategies or DevSecOps practices.
- Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
