๐ What Youโll Be Doing
As a Reablement Care Assistant, your daily visits will focus on empowering your clients:
๐ค Rebuilding Confidence โ patiently encouraging clients to try tasks themselves.
๐ถ Mobility & Physiotherapy Support โ assisting with transfers, walking, and exercises prescribed by occupational therapists.
๐ฒ Nutrition & Mealtimes โ supporting them to safely prepare their own meals and drinks.
๐ Medication Management โ prompting and guiding them to manage their own medication safely.
๐ก Housekeeping Skills โ helping them relearn how to manage light cleaning and laundry.
๐ Health Monitoring โ closely observing progress and reporting improvements or setbacks.
๐ Social Inclusion โ helping them regain the confidence to step back into their community.
๐ Documentation โ logging specific milestones to track their journey to independence.
Qualifications
๐ฆธ What Youโll Need (Besides a Cape and Superpowers!)
Hold onto your hats โ ideally, youโll have at least 6 months of social care experience to join our merry band of care crusaders!
But hereโs the truth: what matters most to us is your heart of gold and your ability to sprinkle kindness wherever you go. Youโll need to be as resilient as a rubber band and as eager to learn as a curious kitten. Donโt worry โ weโll help you level up your skills and knowledge as part of our close-knit (and delightfully quirky) team.
While experience is a bonus, weโre really looking for people who:
๐ Driver Essential: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is strictly required for travel between clients (some clients live in rural areas and need heroes who can reach them).
๐ Have compassion oozing from every pore
๐ฃ๏ธ Can communicate like a UN diplomat
๐งฉ Possess problem-solving powers that would impress Mother Teresa
๐ต Are committed to respectful, high-quality care that would make your gran proud
