YOUR MISSION
Our Africa Strategy team at Glovo is a small, high-performing team. You will play a key role in the region, working on critical strategic projects across the countries, spanning from high-impact topics like Automation and AI adoption over Market Intelligence to Fintech. Expect the work to be challenging, varied, and analytical.
You will work closely with Regional Management and other senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and growth, help in designing the strategy of the region, and develop actionable plans to capitalize on these opportunities.
THE JOURNEY
- Lead key strategic projects autonomously, supporting senior stakeholders across the region to solve a number of diverse and highly-demanding problems.
- Build tools and automations to enable our teams to multiply their impact and elevate the results we achieve as a team.
- Be considered as top-notch support for the AFR leadership team in developing strategy, analysis or give support in high-impact projects or gaps to be filled.
- Identify challenges, create action plans, and drive the execution of key initiatives at a local level.
- Support the region with data collection, providing high-quality insights and comprehensive documents to support decision making.
- Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference.
- The position is based in Barcelona, but occasional travel to the region is required.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
- At least 5 years of experience in top-tier management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy and/or a fast paced analytical role in a high growth environment.
- Intermediate SQL required, Python knowledge is beneficial.
- Experience building AI based automations (e.g. using Make, N8N or similar) and coding knowledge are a strong plus.
- English fluency/proficiency is required. Proficiency in French and/or Arabic are a plus.
- Availability to travel according to business needs.
- Ability to understand and frame a wide range of problems and opportunities, identifying key questions to answer, executing high-quality quantitative analysis and developing practical insights/recommendations.
- Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders (including senior leadership), defining value, scope & deliverables, effectively integrating their inputs, adequately managing their expectations, and building trust.
- Ability to prioritize effectively as well as lead multiple project workstreams in parallel and independently.
- Ability to spot opportunities to make things better and take ownership over them.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts in a simple and structured way (both written and orally).

- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driven by results: you are joining a highly dynamic, fast paced and rapidly evolving industry, you need to be comfortable taking difficult and ambiguous problems and turning them into real, implementable solutions at pace
- An owner with an entrepreneurial mindset: you own your work, your results and everything in between and you know how to roll your sleeves up and creatively problem solve your way out of issues
- A data magician: you can easily work through large data sets and transform complex insights into simple and actionable insights
- An AI enthusiast: you have already built several automations with AI and AI agents are your daily companions. Make and N8N are no new words for you.
