Direct access Hygienist opportunity within our purpose built specialist orthodontic practice, Portman Smile Clinic, Lewisham SE13 7DJ.

Portman Smile Clinic Lewisham is a specialist orthodontic practice supporting both NHS and private patients. We opened our modern, 2 surgery specialist practice in Lewisham in April 2019 and are now seeking an experienced Hygienist to join the team!

We can offer:

• Weekly Fridays, initially starting 1 day per month and then building to bi weekly and weekly
• A growth role to support the practice in delivering fantastic patient care onsite
• You will receive internal referrals and will be supporting a range of patients 1) to ensure stable hygiene so that orthodontic treatment can commence 2) to support patients as they undergo their orthodontic journey 3) post treatment, our intention is that they have such a good experience they want to keep visiting you even when their treatment has completed. 4) you will also have the opportunity to treat patients in need of a high-quality local Hygienist who aren’t having ortho treatment
• An experienced clinical and support team consisting of 1 Specialist Orthodontist, Orthodontic Therapist, Head Nurse and a fantastic Practice Manager.
• Located in the centre of Lewisham, just a 3 minute walk from the train station and easily accessible by bus.

Essential Requirements

Applicants are required to be a GDC registered Hygienist, or a Dental Therapist happy to work as a Hygienist - with right to work in the UK (please note sponsorship not available for this role).

All applicants are required to have exemption training, radiography and be indemnified for direct access.

Must be free to work Fridays as this is the day we have surgery space.

Please note there is no immediate Nurse support for this role, however there will be decon support
