Job Description
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist to join our Finance team.
This role acts as the trusted partner and right hand of the Finance Manager, owning the accounting and reporting agenda for the local entity and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information. The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with a proactive, business-oriented mindset. They will oversee month-end and year-end close activities, perform critical reviews of financial data, support audits, drive process improvements, and serve as a key point of contact between local and global stakeholders. This is a high-impact role offering broad exposure across the business and full visibility of the P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow, and key financial processes.
Accounting & Closing
Own and coordinate month-end and year-end close activities.
Review reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and supporting documentation.
Ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance of accounting records under IFRS and local GAAP.
Perform detailed Balance Sheet reviews and identify accounting risks.
Prepare and review complex accounting entries.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages.
Analyze financial performance and explain key variances.
Support cash flow forecasting and monitor forecast accuracy.
Act as the main owner of accounting and reporting-related HQ requests.
Audit, Controls & Compliance
Lead the annual external audit process.
Ensure audit readiness throughout the year.
Support statutory reporting and tax compliance.
Strengthen accounting controls and identify process improvements.
Process Improvement
Drive automation, standardization, and efficiency initiatives.
Improve visibility and transparency of accounting topics across the organization.
Support ERP improvements and future finance transformation projects.
Stakeholder Management
Partner with local Operations, Commercial, and Finance teams.
Collaborate closely with HQ and Regional Finance stakeholders.
Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and external advisors.
Guide and review the work of junior team members to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
3+ years of accounting experience in a multinational environment.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.
Experience with month-end and year-end closing.
Experience supporting or leading external audits.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset.
Nice to Have
Forecasting and management reporting experience.
SAP or Wand ERP experience.
Experience in high-volume transaction environments.
Process improvement or finance transformation exposure.
