The Interior Design & Space Planner is responsible for designing functional, safe, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing learning environments for early learning centers. The role focuses on space planning, furniture layouts, FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) specification, and coordinating interior design solutions that support children's learning, development, safety, and educator workflows while meeting project budgets, timelines, and regulatory requirements
- Develop creative interior concepts and space plans.
- Design and plan furniture layouts that maximize functionality, safety, and learning outcomes.
- Create accurate 3D models using SketchUp.
- Produce high-quality, photorealistic renderings and walkthroughs using Lumion.
- Prepare mood boards, presentation materials, and design proposals for clients.
- Produce detailed furniture layouts, floor plans, elevations, and design documentation.
- Revise designs based on client feedback and project requirements.
- Prepare project documentation and maintain organized design records.
- Support procurement and installation of furniture and interior finishes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2β3 years of experience in interior design, space planning, or furniture design.
- Experience designing commercial, educational, or institutional spaces is an advantage.
- Strong portfolio showcasing space planning and 3D visualization projects.
- Lumion and SketchUp proficiency is required.
- Strong understanding of furniture design and space optimization.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
