Junior Investment Manager (Quant Focus) - Wealth (m/f/x)

Job Description

As a Junior Investment Manager (Quant Focus), you are at the forefront of shaping Scalable’s existing and future Wealth product offering. You will collaborate with seasoned portfolio managers, ETP traders, and quantitative financial engineers to leverage your understanding of ETFs, the asset management industry, advanced investment strategies, trade execution and risk management.

• Drive strategic and operational projects to continuously improve Scalable Wealth, our digital ETF-based wealth management solution
• Maintain and enhance (Python-based) analytical tools for portfolio construction, rebalancing, and trade execution analysis
• Collaborate closely with Financial Engineering, Trading, and Data Engineering teams to improve data pipelines and analytical workflows that support portfolio management
• Propose, analyze, backtest, and implement changes to our Wealth asset allocation with several €bn of assets under management, working with our portfolio managers and traders
• Support with data collection and preparation of high-impact presentations
• Analyze performance, market and other large datasets for reporting and to derive decision-relevant insights
• Serve as a knowledge centre for all capital markets related topics

Qualifications

• Excellent academic background in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a related field of studies
• Strong Proficiency in Python (pandas, jupyter) and comfortable working with large financial datasets; familiarity with object oriented programming, APIs (AWS, Bloomberg), and dash is considered a plus
• Proficiency in using AI, Excel and SQL for data analysis
• Relevant work experience from prior internships or full-time employment
• A strong passion for financial markets and exchange-traded products (ETPs)
• Ability to deliver with excellent analytical skills in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative team player with attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent command of German and English, both written and spoken
