Remote Civil Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Remote Civil Engineer to support residential land development projects across California. This role offers hands‑on experience under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer. The scope includes preparing draft plans, assisting with soil reports and testing, and coordinating surveys to ensure accurate project documentation. (slope analysis, cut and fill calculations. BMPs, drainage, site plans, retaining walls, etc), creating and modifying technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing site plans, grading plans, drainage plans, and improvement plans.
• Support soil investigations, compile soil reports, and coordinate testing activities.
• Work with survey teams to collect and verify field data; integrate survey results into design documents.
• Perform calculations for grading, earthwork, stormwater drainage systems, and erosion control measures.
• Contribute to Best Management Practices (BMPs) for stormwater pollution prevention and compliance with NPDES, CGP, and local SUSMP requirements.
• Prepare draft engineering drawings, exhibits, and technical documentation under supervision.
• Assist with plan submittals, respond to agency comments, and support approvals.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Autodesk, AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
• Prior experience working for projects in the US, specifically in California is a plus.
• Fluent English communication is required, as you’ll be collaborating with international teams and clients.
