CNC Laser Operator (Manufacturing Machine Operation)

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CNC Laser Operator to set up, operate, and maintain laser and punch equipment (Trumpf preferred). This role is responsible for producing high-quality parts, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting daily production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent or 5+ years of related experience
- 5+ years of CNC laser and/or punch experience
- Blueprint reading skills
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Basic knowledge of G-code and CNC operations
- Strong understanding of machine safety
Preferred:
- Experience with Trumpf machines and controls
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance experience
- Familiarity with gases used in laser cutting
- Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read schematics
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC laser and/or punch machines (Trumpf preferred)
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Perform tool setup and machine adjustments
- Monitor production and ensure part quality using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Perform routine maintenance including cleaning lenses, nozzles, and machine components
- Troubleshoot machine issues and assist with minor repairs
- Understand material types (steel, aluminum, stainless) and thicknesses
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures including proper handling of laser equipment and materials
- Support programming adjustments as needed (G-code/CNC)
- Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITION:
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends as needed.
- Must be physically capable of standing/bending/stooping/squeezing 8+ hour shift(s)
- Must be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 30 pounds on a given day, without assistance. Anything above 30 lbs. requires a team lift.
- Must have the ability to push, pull material and equipment as needed.
- Must be able to wear required safety equipment including gloves and glasses.
