The Freelance Senior MLR Content Manager is the bridge between brand teams and regulatory success, ensuring content is compliant, accurate, and submission ready. They oversee content alignment with MLR requirements, manage revisions, and collaborate with teams to keep projects on track, ensuring that creative ideas meet rigorous standards without compromise. This is not primarily a submission, Veeva administration or regulatory role.
What makes this role indispensable? Without the Senior MLR Content Manager, creative projects would be delayed or risk non-compliance, jeopardizing client trust, timelines, and campaign impact. This role safeguards the integrity of client messaging while streamlining the content review process, enabling both innovation and regulatory excellence. The Senior MLR Content Manager also mentors and develops junior team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous learning and improvement.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
· Oversee and edit content and layouts to ensure compliance, accuracy, and readiness for submission.
· Guide the creative team through the revision process, interpreting and implementing feedback from MLR reviewers and clients.
· Oversee MLR feedback tracking to ensure clarity and alignment with established precedents across entire brands.
· Collaborate with brand, creative, and regulatory teams to keep projects moving efficiently through the review process.
· In collaboration with MLR Operations Managers, identify process bottlenecks and drive solutions to improve workflow and turnaround times.
· Support, mentor, and train MLR content team members, sharing best practices and exemplifying high standards.

· Accuracy: A high percentage of content passes MLR review without preventable feedback or major rework.
· Timeliness: Projects consistently move through the content review process on or ahead of schedule.
· Process Improvement: A demonstrated reduction in bottlenecks and revision cycles over time.

· Stakeholder Satisfaction: Strong feedback from creative, account, and external partners.
Experience:
· 7+ years in MLR content management, regulatory review, medical copy editing, or a related field in healthcare, pharma, or advertising
· Proven experience guiding content through regulatory review processes
· Track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams
Skills:
· Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
· Effective project management abilities
· Familiarity with medical, legal, and regulatory standards and approaches for health communications
· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex regulatory requirements to creative and brand partners

Salary: $85/hr - $95/hr
