Job Purpose

The Process Excellence Lead will champion Lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives across functional departments, with a primary focus on our Vaughan - Woodbridge site. This role involves providing strategic leadership, facilitation, coaching, and mentorship to drive operational excellence. The successful candidate will take ownership of implementing Lean principles locally, while also having the opportunity to support and influence process improvement efforts across other LGC sites.

Key Responsibilities

Promote a High Level of Safety, and 5S

  • Proactively identify and eliminate workplace hazards.
  • Utilize 5S to establish and maintain a safe, efficient workplace.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety and 5S standards.
  • Role model safety practices and 5S behaviors.

Support and Actively Participate in OE Initiatives

  • Facilitate process mapping, value stream mapping, and SOP/Standard Work development.
  • Establish and monitor departmental KPIs, dashboards.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities and plans.
  • Lead or facilitate Kaizens and problem-solving workshops.
  • Manage PE projects to ensure timely delivery, risk mitigation, and realization of benefits.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute PE events.
  • Ensure standardization of PE methodologies and documentation.
  • Quantify project savings in collaboration with Finance and Project Sponsors.
  • Provide coaching and support to project leaders and teams.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders to align PE initiatives with business priorities.
  • Ensure PE activities are reported, tracked, and communicated effectively.
  • Support all STD sites and be available for cross-site collaboration.

Qualifications

Competencies Required

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in technical or operational roles.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is required.
  • Deep knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Proven change leadership and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams at all levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (intermediate level or higher).
  • Strategic and tactical thinking abilities.

Additional Information

Pay range for this role is:

Minimum: CAD $80,000/ yearly

Maximum: CAD $105,000/ yearly

The salary range provided covers the minimum and maximum amounts projected for this role. The base salary will be influenced by factors like experience, skills, and location.
