High Focus Centers in Farmington is a premier provider of outpatient treatment programs for mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders. At High Focus Centers in Farmington we are currently seeking a Counselor Assistant to join our amazing team of behavioral healthcare professionals. - Schedule: Full time 40 hours/week Monday-Friday with 2 evening schedules/week
- Hourly Rate: $20/hour - $23/hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and supports in the implementation of resident treatment planning goals through contact with clients, family, colleagues and other staff.
- Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and family members.
- Assist individual, family and process group therapy sessions under the direction of the treatment supervisor including preparing materials for sessions.
- Participates in recovery topics, life skills groups, and psychoeducational groups.
- Manages client files by having all appropriate documents.
- Communicating with referral sources and company representatives.
- Attends treatment team meetings with psychiatrist and staff.
- Participates in community meetings with clients.
- Maintains client caseload daily.
- Receives phone calls from support staff as necessary regarding client behavioral and emotional needs.
- Clerical duties as required for maintenance of client files.
- Listens to clients concerning all areas of treatment.
- Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information.
- Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services or related field
- Preferred: previous crisis management and counseling experience
