Job Description
Ready to explore how reliable smart technology really is in practice? During this internship, you will dive into the reliability of electronic submodules that power our innovative solutions in agriculture.
You will investigate how reliability is currently determined for electronic components sourced from different suppliers. By analyzing existing methods and data, you will identify opportunities to improve how we define and validate reliability. Your work will directly contribute to stronger, more durable Lely products used worldwide.
You will work hands-on with real data and real systems. The assignment will be tailored to the requirements of your university. Think of analyzing warranty and field failure data, comparing reliability models, and developing a test plan for a specific electronic component or system. Depending on the phase of the project, you may also support or execute reliability tests and evaluate the results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing warranty and field failure data to uncover reliability trends
- Comparing reliability models and prediction methods
- Investigating current reliability determination processes for electronic systems
- Developing a reliability test plan aligned with selected models
- Supporting the setup or execution of reliability tests for electronic components and submodules
- Documenting findings and translating them into clear recommendations for improving standards and procedures
You will join the Product Development department, where you collaborate with experienced engineers from different disciplines. This gives you the opportunity to learn quickly, contribute your ideas, and work on real engineering challenges that matter.
