Job Description
We are looking for a full-level QA Analyst with experience in test coordination to be part of the Testing Factory team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality assurance processes, leadership skills, and a passion for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. This professional will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising testing activities, as well as coordinating the activities on specific projects.
Your Mission
The Testing Factory team is based in Porto with hybrid remote work, interacting with a group of developers, business analysts and applicative support in Paris and Porto in different business areas with different tools. It will be required to work in an agile method in collaboration with other members of the team to carry out the prioritized topics entrusted to the team.
Responsibilities:
Test Planning
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to understand product requirements.
- Define test strategies, scopes, and objectives for projects.
- Create and review detailed test plans, including test types (functional, regression, performance, security, etc.), acceptance criteria, and timelines.
- Identify and document quality-related risks.
Test Execution and Coordination:
- Manage and prioritize the test backlog, assigning tasks to the project team.
- Supervise the execution of manual and automated test cases.
- Ensure compliance with defined test strategies.
- Monitor test progress and identify bottlenecks.
- Facilitate communication between QA team members and other project areas.
- Provide guidance and technical support to the members of the project.
Defect Management:
- Identify, document, and report defects clearly and concisely in tracking tools.
- Prioritize defects according to severity and business impact.
- Track defect lifecycles and verify fixes.
- Provide constructive feedback to the development team.
Continuous Improvement:
- Actively participate in improving QA processes and testing methodologies.
- Propose and implement new tools and techniques to optimize testing activities.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the QA knowledge base.
Evaluate the effectiveness of test strategies and propose adjustments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a QA Analyst, with at least 6 years of experience at a full-level.
- Solid experience in coordinating testing activities.
- Profound knowledge in different types of software testing (functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, performance, security, etc.).
- Experience in creating and reviewing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Xray).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Relationship Skills:
- Autonomous, Responsible, Proactive and Organized while having the ability to adapt
- Teamwork having good communication spirit
- Constant communication between different IT teams/squads working in different countries
