Senior BIM Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior BIM Coordinator to join our construction team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will serve as a key technical leader responsible for managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination across multiple projects. You will work collaboratively with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless model integration, clash detection, and resolution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, strong project management capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of BIM documentation and coordination protocols.

• Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive BIM models and coordinate all discipline-specific models (architectural, structural, MEP) to identify and resolve conflicts before construction
• Conduct clash detection analysis using industry-standard software and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for resolution
• Review of Contractor's submittals. Liaise with Client's BIM management.
• Establish and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and best practices across all project teams in alignment with ISO 19650 and Level of Development (LOD) specifications
• Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and construction teams to ensure BIM deliverables meet project requirements and timelines
• Prepare and manage BIM execution plans, including model organization, naming conventions, and data management procedures
• Coordinate with MEP contractors and subcontractors to ensure proper integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the overall project model
• Monitor model quality, accuracy, and compliance with project standards; provide feedback and training to team members as needed
• Generate 3D visualizations, construction sequencing models, and other BIM-derived outputs to support project planning and stakeholder communication
• Maintain detailed documentation of all coordination activities, decisions, and model revisions for project records
• Identify opportunities to optimize BIM processes and implement improvements to enhance project efficiency and reduce rework

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• At least 12 years of experience of which at least 8 years in similar position.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and Navisworks, with demonstrated expertise in model creation, coordination, and clash detection
• Strong knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices, including ISO 19650 and LOD specifications
• Solid understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and documentation requirements
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to work with 2D and 3D drawings
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple models and coordinate diverse teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience coordinating MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) systems and resolving interdisciplinary conflicts
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Dynamo or BIM scripting and automation
• Knowledge of 4D (time-based) and 5D (cost-based) BIM modeling
• Familiarity with cloud-based BIM collaboration platforms and project management tools
• Experience with construction sequencing and phasing analysis
• Previous experience working on projects in the Saudi Arabia construction market
• Certification in BIM coordination or related construction technology field
