About the Role
We are looking for an empathetic, driven, and goal-oriented Course Counsellor to join our team in Chennai. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for aspiring tech professionals, engineering freshers, and job seekers. Your primary mission will be to understand their career goals, map them to our high-demand IT training programs, and guide them toward a successful launch into the tech industry.
Roles and Responsibilities
Career Mapping & Guidance: Conduct personalized 1-on-1 and group counseling sessions to understand students' academic backgrounds, strengths, and career aspirations.
Lead Conversion: Interact with walk-ins, inbound telephonic inquiries, and digital leads to explain course curriculum, placement opportunities, and value propositions, effectively driving enrollments.
Student Onboarding: Assist students through the registration, batch scheduling, and enrollment processes.
Collaborative Support: Work closely with the technical training and placement teams to ensure a seamless transition from counseling to classroom learning and final job placement.
CRM & Record Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student interactions, follow-ups, and enrollment pipelines using CRM software.
Market Awareness: Stay updated on current IT industry trends, high-demand tech skill sets (e.g., Full-Stack, Mobile App Development, Cloud), and competitor offerings to counsel students effectively.
Job Requirements & Skills
Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience in educational counseling, academic advising, inside sales, or student relationship management. (Freshers with excellent communication skills are highly encouraged to apply!)
Industry Knowledge: A basic understanding of the IT sector, software development job roles, and tech training trends is a major plus.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Tamil to confidently interact with students and parents.
Interpersonal Skills: Active listening, empathy, and the ability to build trust and persuade effectively.
Tech Savvy: Familiarity with MS Office (Excel/Word) and standard CRM software or educational technology tools.
Qualifications
Education
UG: Any Graduate (B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. CS/BCA graduates who want to pivot to a student-facing/counseling role are welcome).
PG: Any Postgraduate (Optional).
