Loss Prevention Officer (Security) - The Warehouse, Hawera

Job Description

Te kaupapa o te tūranga - The purpose of the role. 

Hours of work:

• Tuesday 1:30pm - 8:00pm 
• Wednesday 8:00am - 2:30pm 
• Thursday to Saturday 8:00am - 4:30pm

We're seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Monitor security cameras 
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor 
• Interact with customers and address their concerns
• Upload events onto our crime reporting platform.  
• Expiry Checks throughout our grocery department
• All other duties requested of you

Qualifications

He kōrero mōu ake - About you

Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial but is not required. Some previous security experience is a requirement of this role. Ideally, you will have good communication skills, Computer skills and the ability to input data with ease and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods.

Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, would be beneficial.
