Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Workshop Service Technician to join our Hägglunds division based at our Malaga, WA branch.
This is a hands on workshop based role responsible for the overhaul, inspection, repair, and testing of Hägglunds hydraulic drive systems and associated components. You will play a key role in supporting customer delivery requirements while ensuring all work is completed to high standards of quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
Working closely with the Engineering and External Service teams, you will contribute to reliable aftermarket support outcomes through accurate diagnostics, technical reporting, and professional workshop practices.
What you will be doing
Component Overhaul & Testing: Strip, inspect, diagnose, repair, and test Bosch Rexroth Hägglunds hydraulic drive systems and associated components, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are achieved.
Technical Diagnostics & Documentation: Perform fault finding and prepare detailed service reports, product analysis, test documentation, quotations, and supporting records accurately and in a timely manner.
Job Planning & Preparation: Plan and prepare service activities, including gathering parts, tooling, and technical information required to complete jobs efficiently and safely.
Workshop Equipment & Standards: Maintain workshop equipment, tools, and calibrated test assets while ensuring housekeeping, HSE requirements, and internal procedures are consistently upheld.
Continuous Improvement & Technical Support: Share technical knowledge and product insights with the Engineering team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the service function.
External Service Support: Provide operational support to the External Service Department, including occasional off-site assistance and collaboration to meet broader business requirements.
Qualifications
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Hydraulics, or similar
- Experience working with hydraulic drive systems and components such as motors, pumps, and power units
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience in workshop based repairs, rebuilds, and testing
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Experience using systems such as SAP or similar (desirable)
