Avani Auckland Metropolis Residences are looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic NIGHT Manager to join the on a full-time basis.

The moment a guest steps into our hotel you will make them feel at home with your welcoming and warm presence. You have the important job of working with your team and driving exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Welcome late arrivals and ensure smooth check-in/check-out processes
  • Deliver outstanding guest experiences, ensuring each guest is welcomed with warmth and professionalism.
  • Act as Manager on Duty, taking full responsibility for the hotel during overnight hours
  • Oversee the execution of nightly tasks, ensuring they are completed with precision and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate logs, records, and handovers for morning teams
  • Proactively address and resolve guest concerns with professionalism, ensuring a lasting impression of exceptional service.
  • In conjunction with on-site security, always ensure the safety and security of guests and hotel property

Shift Details (subject to change):

  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week
  • Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday 
  • Shift times scheduled within 10:00pm to 6:30am

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a hotel front office environment, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
  • Extensive background in the hospitality industry, ideally within a hotel or resort setting, with a thorough understanding of guest service standards and operations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to maintain a consistently positive and professional demeanour, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and ensure timely completion of duties.
  • Impeccable professional presentation, reflecting the high standards of the organisation.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and adjust to varying schedules, as required by the operational needs of the business.
