Welcome to Dev-AI at Grab, where you'll transform developer productivity with AI tools. We are dedicated to enhancing the daily work of Grab engineers by implementing modern technology. We create in-house solutions and integrate third-party technologies to improve application development, testing, and automation. Our goal is to accelerate and improve the productivity of engineers across Grab.

Get to Know the Role

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will collaborate with diverse teams to create AI Assisted and Agentic Product Development that refine the engineering process. You will identify areas within the Software Development Lifecycle that can be optimised with AI assistance. You will be focused on implementing technical solutions for AI-assisted workflows for our engineers. Once launched you will also lead improvements, maintenance and operations of such solutions.

You will work onsite at Grab Singapore's office located at One-north.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve engineering productivity, reduce manual effort, and streamline developer workflows.
• Design, build, and maintain backend systems, services, and APIs that integrate AI capabilities into internal engineering tools and platforms.
• Translate business and engineering needs into scalable technical solutions, from problem framing and solution design through implementation and rollout.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deploy reliable, secure, and production-ready AI-enabled solutions across existing workflows.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of AI solutions using clear success metrics, and continuously improve them based on feedback, usage patterns, and operational performance.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, hands-on collaboration, and knowledge sharing, while raising the bar for engineering quality and technical execution.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You have over 8 years of software development experience and a history of delivering successful solutions across teams.
• Experience with server-side programming languages like Go.
• You have practical experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), compute technologies (e.g., Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
• Solid capability to managing priorities and coordinating efforts across diverse teams.
• You balance technical tasks with leadership responsibilities, providing mentorship while writing code and planning implementation.
• Build partnerships and manage understanding across diverse teams.
• Maintain focus and deliver high-quality results while navigating evolving priorities and project requirements.
