About Revel

At Revel, we are revolutionizing the way the world's most critical hardware is controlled — across aerospace, automotive, energy, robotics, defense, and advanced manufacturing sectors. Our next-generation software stack combines an intuitive command/control interface, a specialized programming language tailored for hardware control, and a high-performance runtime environment. We empower engineers to build, test, and deploy critical systems rapidly, reliably, and safely.

Our simulation tooling is a core part of that story enabling engineers to model, validate, and understand the behavior of complex systems before they ever touch real hardware.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Product Manager to own and evolve our simulation product. This position will be working at the intersection of deeply technical simulation capabilities and a platform-wide product experience.

This role is for someone who has operated in technically complex product spaces — and knows how to balance depth with usability. Simulation tools are not like typical software products: the physics, numerics, and modeling paradigms underneath carry real weight, and the Product Manager who succeeds here will be someone who can engage with that depth, communicate it clearly, and translate it into a product that feels intuitive across both novice and expert users.

You will be working directly with early design partners to shape what our simulation product becomes, integrating it tightly with the broader Revel platform. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role delivering on tight timelines and aggressive milestones.

What You'll Do

  • Work directly with early customers and beta users to conduct deep discovery understanding their workflows, pain points, and mental models at a high level of fidelity

  • Translate that feedback into clearly scoped product requirements, not just a list of feature requests

  • Own roadmap planning for the simulation product and communicate priorities across engineering, design, and customer stakeholders

  • Serve as the internal bridge between the simulation team and the broader Revel platform ensuring sim integrates seamlessly into the overall product experience

  • Partner closely with design and front-end engineering to craft an experience that feels modern and intuitive without sacrificing depth

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing to support major product launches

  • Manage stakeholder expectations up and across the organization

  • Advocate clearly for what you believe is right for the product, even when that means pushing back

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Experience

  • 4+ years of product management experience, or highly relevant adjacent experience

  • Prior experience as a software or systems engineer

  • Experience managing or contributing to a technically deep product — e.g. FEM/CFD simulation tools, CAD/3D modeling, robotics simulation, or electrical design tools

  • Proven ability to conduct rigorous, high-fidelity customer discovery — not just collecting feature requests, but uncovering real user needs

  • Experience operating in a "1 to N" product phase: taking an existing product through validation, integration, and scaled launch

  • Strong cross-functional instincts and being comfortable working across engineering, design, and marketing

  • Mission-driven mindset with strong ownership over outcomes

Plusses

  • Background in or strong familiarity with physics, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering

  • Direct engineering experience working on simulation products or tools

  • Background in aerospace, defense, robotics, advanced manufacturing, energy, or automotive industries

  • Experience simulating or operating systems in a fast-paced hardware testing environment

  • Experience at companies such as SpaceX, Blue Origin, Rocket Lab, Ansys, Autodesk, PTC, or similar technical-product organizations

  • Experience collaborating closely with a marketing function on a major product launch

Team & Exposure

You will work alongside a dedicated simulation team and collaborate closely with the Revel platform's design and front-end engineering teams. You will have direct exposure to the Head of Product and CEO, and will work hands-on with customers operating real, high-stakes hardware systems.

Our feedback loops are tight. You will see directly how your decisions shape real-world use.

ITAR Requirements

To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicants must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Why Revel

  • Work on software that directly shapes how engineers interact with critical real-world systems

  • Join a deeply technical team building next-generation hardware control infrastructure

  • High ownership and visibility from day one

  • Competitive compensation and meaningful equity

  • Help define what simulation in the hands of hardware engineers should actually feel like
