About Mangomint

Mangomint is a fast-growing SaaS company on a mission to make every salon and spa more profitable. We are already the highest-rated salon and spa software in the US and Canada with thousands of customers and seek to become the #1 market leader in the coming years.

We’re a primarily remote company, ambitious, and collaborative team that gathers together every few months. As we grow, we’re looking to attract high-potential individuals who want to be part of a winning team. If that’s you, come join us!

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer at Mangomint, you'll find the bottlenecks across our business and use imagination to solve them. The thinking and problem-solving is the job, not the tools. You'll be part of a DevOps team, working together on things that keep engineering moving: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, automation, and the integrations our teams depend on.

A big part of this role is something we're starting to call "VibeOps". Our non-engineering teams increasingly build their own apps and automations with AI assistance. You'll guide that "vibe-coded" work into production, building in the guardrails that keep it secure, stable, and reliable from the start.

Security runs through all of the work you'll do, in a hands-on, practical way. You'll harden real tools and pipelines as they ship, strengthening our DevSecOps practices across both our core systems and the VibeOps work, in a cross-functional role where you can move fast and directly cut risk.

In the DevOps Engineer role at Mangomint you will:

  • Find and remove bottlenecks across engineering and the wider business, applying DevOps and agile thinking rather than a fixed toolset

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code that get work shipped reliably

  • Review, refactor, and harden prototype and AI-generated apps from non-engineering teams into secure, production-grade systems (core VibeOps work)

  • Add authentication, tests, dependency and secret scanning, and proper deployment paths to department-built tools before they touch real data

  • Strengthen DevSecOps practices: dependency scanning, SAST/DAST, security smell testing, and proactive vulnerability management

  • Build and maintain automations and integrations that drive efficiency across Support, Onboarding, Sales, and Engineering

  • Design and troubleshoot APIs

  • Support compliance requirements and security testing workflows

  • Partner closely with non-technical teams to understand what they've built and bring it up to standard

Technologies You Will Work With

  • Backend/API: Kotlin, Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, AWS (Lambda, SQS, RDS, EC2/EB)

  • Scripting: Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automation

  • CI/CD & Infrastructure: AWS, pipeline tooling, infrastructure as code (exposure to Terraform or Pulumi is a plus)

  • Security & Compliance: Dependency scanning tools (e.g., Snyk, SonarQube, TruffleHog), SAST/DAST tools, SIEMs, SOC2 frameworks

  • Integration & Automation: Zapier, Pipedream, AI agent frameworks, and similar workflow tools

While experience with our exact stack is helpful, we care more about your problem-solving skills, your sense of agency, and your ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role

  • A demonstrated track record of solving problems holistically — finding the real bottleneck and working the problem, not reaching for a familiar tool

  • Genuine fluency in agile and DevOps ways of working, shown through how you've actually operated, not just exposure to them

  • Strong sense of agency and learning agility — you take ownership and get up to speed fast

  • Ability to review, refactor, and harden prototype or AI-generated code into secure, production-grade systems

  • Proficient with scripting and development languages (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Kotlin, or Java)

  • CI/CD, pipeline, and infrastructure-as-code experience

  • Experience with security tooling — dependency scanning, SAST/DAST, vulnerability management

  • Strong API design and troubleshooting skills, and comfort partnering with non-technical teams to make what they've built maintainable

  • Bonus points if you have familiarity with SIEMs or compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2), and experience with AI agent workflows or automation

What You'll Love About Us

  • Health, dental, vision, life & LTD insurance

  • Generous monthly wellness budget for gym memberships, yoga, etc.

  • Premium subscription to the Calm app

  • One Medical membership

  • Flexible and unlimited PTO

  • 401k plan available (no matching)

  • Employee stock option program
