Managing Director, Forensic Advisory

The Role

At Teneo, we are creating the future of forensic advisory. Our vision is to build a full suite of forensic services aligned to the evolving challenges facing clients in 2026 and beyond. By combining deep forensic expertise with innovative technology, data-driven insights and rigorous methodologies, we help deliver the clarity and confidence relied upon by courts, regulators and other stakeholders.

We are building a new forensic practice across APAC, with Hong Kong at the centre of our initial growth plans. This is a unique opportunity to help define our offering, influence our direction and build something truly distinctive alongside an experienced leadership team.

We are seeking an experienced Managing Director to join our growing forensic team. Whether your expertise lies in forensic accounting, corporate investigations, digital forensics, eDiscovery, analytics, financial crime or a related discipline, this is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in building and leading a high-growth forensic practice across the region.

You will act as a senior advisor to clients, lead some of the most complex and high-profile engagements in the market, and help shape the strategic direction and growth of our forensic offering. This role offers the opportunity to build something meaningful, develop enduring client relationships and leave a lasting impact on the future of the business.

Key Responsibilities

As a Managing Director, you will play a central role in shaping the strategy, growth and market positioning of our forensic practice across APAC.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the growth and development of the forensic practice, helping define its strategic direction and market proposition.

  • Building and deepening relationships with clients, legal advisers, regulators and other senior stakeholders across the region.

  • Originating and leading complex, high-profile forensic engagements and serving as a trusted advisor to clients facing critical business, regulatory and reputational challenges.

  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities for growth through business development, market engagement and collaboration across Teneo's global platform.

  • Building, leading and developing high-performing teams while fostering an inclusive and entrepreneurial culture.

Key Skills & Experience

You will be a recognised leader within your field, with an established reputation for delivering complex engagements, building trusted client relationships and driving business growth.

  • Significant experience leading forensic, investigations, disputes, regulatory or related advisory engagements.

  • A strong professional network and demonstrable track record of developing client relationships and generating new business opportunities.

  • Deep expertise in one or more forensic disciplines, with the credibility to act as a senior advisor to boards, executive leadership teams, legal counsel and regulators.

  • Proven experience building, leading and growing successful teams and advisory practices.

  • Strong commercial judgement, leadership capability and the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.

  • A collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset, with a genuine enthusiasm for helping build and grow a leading forensic practice across APAC.
