Position Summary:

We are seeking a Financial Analyst Co-op to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, reporting to the Manager, FP&A. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business performance analysis within a high-growth SaaS environment.

As a key support to the Finance team, you will collaborate closely not only with FP&A colleagues but also with teams across the company—as well as with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. This role is ideal for a proactive and analytical individual eager to develop financial acumen and contribute to meaningful business insights.

This is an 8-month, fixed-term position based out of our Mount Pleasant office in Vancouver, following a hybrid work model with three in-office days per week.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis and key business commentary.

  • Support the annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes across revenue, expenses, and headcount.

  • Help maintain and develop financial models and templates to support ongoing planning and forecasting requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.

  • Work closely with stakeholders at all levels— from individual contributors to senior leadership— to gather inputs, validate data, and communicate financial insights.

  • Conduct data analysis to identify financial trends, performance drivers, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and clarity of financial reporting and planning.

  • Participate in ad hoc analysis and special projects, including preparing materials for management and Board reporting.

What You'll Bring:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with an interest in financial data and business performance.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required (knowledge of advanced functions, pivot tables, and financial modeling is a plus).

  • Exposure to Tableau, Salesforce, or Adaptive Planning is a strong asset; willingness to learn these tools is essential.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizational levels.

  • Curious, proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes and drive insights.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Gain:

  • Hands-on experience with core FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.

  • Cross-functional collaboration experience, working with various departments and stakeholders across the company.

  • Practical exposure to financial systems and tools: MS Excel, Tableau, Salesforce, and Adaptive Planning.

  • Mentorship from experienced finance professionals and a collaborative, inclusive work environment.

  • Valuable insights into SaaS business models and the strategic role of Finance.
