Clinic Location: Primary location will be Northland Clinic located at 3307 Northland Drive, Suite 460, Austin TX 78731. following completion of training, which will take place downtown located at 1524 S. IH-35 Frontage Road, Suite 202, Austin, TX 78704 for the first 2-4 months.
Compensation: $20 - $23/hr

Job Summary:
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will provide support with various services following established policies and protocols including but not limited to scheduling, preparing charts, patient vitals, verifying insurance benefits, and other administrative and clinical duties. This role requires a compassionate, resilient, and highly skilled professional who can navigate unique challenges to deliver exceptional mental health support.
Responsibilities:
Prior Payor Authorizations for Medication Management appointments
Perform vital signs measurements such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse and specimen collections as ordered by providers
Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
Start and monitor IV infusions with accuracy and care
Assist with basic life support procedures when necessary
Ideal Candidate:
Certified Medical Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of experience, Mental Health experience preferred
Proficient in performing vital signs measurements accurately and efficiently
Phlebotomy skills
Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology and medications
Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
Experience in medication administration following established protocols
Ability to provide medical administrative support including appointment scheduling and record keeping
Knowledge of treatment resistant therapy methods
EHR Experience required, experience with ATHENA highly preferred
