ROLE OVERWIEW:
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Consultant with strong expertise in core banking systems and financial services transformation. This role combines core banking advisory with strategic business analysis, requiring an individual who can independently develop executive-ready insights, build compelling presentations, perform financial and investment analyses, and ensure the highest quality standards across client deliverables.
The ideal candidate is a versatile consultant who can bridge business, technology, and financial perspectives supporting senior stakeholders with well-structured recommendations, robust quantitative analysis, and high-quality materials suitable for Executive Committees and C-level audiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Banking Advisory & Transformation
- Provide expert advisory support in the functional and technical analysis of core banking platforms used by banking clients.
- Assess alignment of core banking architectures with business objectives, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
- Advise clients on the evolution, modernization, and integration of core banking systems within complex enterprise application landscapes.
- Support the definition of business and system requirements for new functionalities, recommending scalable and future-proof solutions.
- Perform impact assessments of system changes on operational processes, customer journeys, and banking products.
Business Analysis & Strategic Support
- Develop business cases, investment cases, and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making and transformation initiatives.
- Analyze financial performance metrics, business models, P&L drivers, and operational impacts of proposed changes.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Executive Communication & Deliverable Development
- Create high-quality PowerPoint presentations and executive-level materials for steering committees, Executive Committees, and senior client leadership.
- Build structured, insightful, and visually compelling presentations that communicate complex concepts with clarity and impact.
- Develop and maintain advanced Excel models, analyses, and reporting tools to support client engagements and internal initiatives.
Quality Assurance & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a quality reviewer for project deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, completeness, and attention to detail.
- Challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and proactively improve the quality of analyses, recommendations, and client-facing outputs.
- Collaborate effectively with client stakeholders, project teams, and senior leadership to drive successful outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS
Core Banking & Financial Services Expertise
- Strong knowledge of core banking platforms (e.g., Flexcube, Temenos T24, Profile, OBS) and their underlying architectures.
- Proven experience delivering advisory services to financial institutions in the area of core banking and transactional systems.
- Ability to analyze end-to-end banking processes and translate business requirements into system and solution designs.
- Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to core banking environments.
- Experience integrating core banking platforms with digital channels, CRM, BI, and external third-party systems.
Analytical & Financial Skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to understand business performance, financial metrics, P&L structures, and investment cases.
- Advanced Excel capabilities, including financial modelling, scenario analysis, and data-driven decision support.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise and meaningful insights.
Communication & Personal Attributes
- Exceptional PowerPoint and presentation development skills, with experience creating Executive Committee and Board-level materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to delivering work of the highest quality.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive deliverables to completion.
- Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgement, and a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
