Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team in Brussels, Belgium. In this role, you will be the heart of our bar operations, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Your expertise in mixology, combined with your passion for hospitality, will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards and driving customer satisfaction.

• Prepare and serve a diverse range of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beverages with precision and creativity, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation - Provide fast, seamless, and attentive bar service to guests, demonstrating genuine warmth and professionalism at all times
• Manage cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems accurately, maintaining meticulous records and reconciling till balances - Collaborate with shift managers to establish service standards, schedules, and operational procedures that enhance guest experience
• Actively promote the bar's offerings and upsell premium products to meet sales targets whilst maintaining authenticity and guest-centricity - Conduct regular inventory checks, manage stock levels, and place orders for spirits, wines, mixers, and bar supplies - Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness, organisation, and health and safety compliance throughout the bar area
• Work collaboratively across departments to support broader hospitality objectives and contribute to a cohesive team environment - Handle challenging situations with resilience and composure, problem-solving effectively even during peak service periods - Engage with guests in a genuine and inclusive manner, building rapport and ensuring their needs are met with empathy and attentiveness

Qualifications

• Professional experience in bartending, bar service, or hospitality industry, or a genuine willingness to pursue a career change with comprehensive training - Comprehensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages, with strong mixology and cocktail preparation skills
• Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to engage guests from diverse backgrounds in a multicultural environment such as Brussels - Proven proficiency in cash handling, POS systems, and basic inventory management - Strong organisational and time-keeping abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively during busy service periods
• Demonstrated flexibility, creativity, and self-reliance whilst maintaining high standards of quality under pressure - Team player mentality with a collaborative approach to supporting colleagues and other departments
• Sound understanding of health, safety, and licensing regulations pertaining to food and beverage service - Passion for hospitality and genuine enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer service - Desirable: Relevant hospitality qualifications, mixology certifications, or formal training in bar management - Desirable: Multilingual capabilities, particularly French or Dutch, to serve our diverse guest base in Brussels
