Your new role
As our new Summer Intern, you will be part of Ramboll Environment and Health. You will be an integral member of our project team. You will work side-by-side with consultants on environmental audit projects, such as Phase I and Phase II Environmental Assessments, Environmental Due Diligence, and Environmental Compliance Audits. You will gain hands-on experience by sourcing, aggregating, and processing environmental data, preparing concise environmental summaries in English, and creating simple cartographic maps using QGIS. You will also handle confidential contacts with public administration offices and authorities to obtain necessary information. This paid internship lasts up to two to three months and offers practical exposure to how regulatory context informs data interpretation and reporting, within a collaborative and professional setting.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Sourcing, aggregating, and processing environmental data, with a focus on geology, hydrogeology, and nature conservation/protected areas
- Preparing concise, substantive environmental summaries and analyses in English
- Creating simple cartographic works and thematic maps using QGIS
- Handling confidential contacts with public administration offices and authorities to retrieve necessary project information
About you
- Current Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Environmental Protection, Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Geography, Geoinformation, Biology, Ecology, Nature Conservation or a similar field. Second and third year students are also welcome
- Fluent in English and Polish (minimum B2 level)
- Able to synthesize scattered information and draw logical conclusions under time constraints
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate with confidence and courtesy while interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- You have a high level of attention to detail, particularly while working with data
- Have good command of MS Office Suite, including Word document and using Excel for data structuring
- QGIS knowledge is highly desirable but not required. This includes the ability to work with spatial data, create simple maps, overlay layers, and perform basic GIS analysis
- Able to conduct research and data analysis from databases and public environmental registries
