Barista (Part Time)

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista to join our team in Uttoxeter, United Kingdom on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be the face of our café, crafting quality beverages and creating memorable experiences for our customers. You will work in a fast-paced environment where efficiency, customer focus, and teamwork are essential to our success.

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, espresso-based beverages, and other café offerings with precision and consistency
• Operate espresso machines and other café equipment safely and effectively
• Take customer orders accurately and provide friendly, attentive service
• Maintain a clean and organized work station, including equipment maintenance and sanitation
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth café operations during peak and off-peak hours
• Stock and rotate inventory items as needed
• Respond to customer inquiries and special requests with a helpful and empathetic approach
• Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times
• Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration and support

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a barista or in a customer service role within a café or hospitality setting (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of coffee types, origins, and brewing methods
• Proficiency in operating espresso machines and café equipment
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Cash handling experience and familiarity with point-of-sale systems (preferred)
• Food safety awareness and understanding of hygiene standards
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Flexibility to work part-time hours, including potential weekend availability
• Latte art skills or willingness to develop them (preferred)
• Clear communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor
