[BGSV/PJ-NE] Software Engineer Intern (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java)
Posted 2 days ago
Job Description
About the role
You will join our Innovation & Technology team to support the research and development of software prototypes and proof-of-concept products. This is a learning-focused role; you will not be involved in production systems or commercial deployment.
What you will do
- Assist in building software prototypes and internal R&D tools under the guidance of senior engineers
- Use AI-assisted coding tools (such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) as part of your development workflow
- Participate in user research activities - interviewing, observing, and synthesizing feedback from intended users of the prototypes
- Contribute to design and iteration cycles based on user input
- Document your work and share findings with the team
Qualifications
What we look for
- Currently enrolled in a university program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Solid foundation in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, etc.)
- Hands-on experience using agentic or AI-assisted coding tools in personal or academic projects
- Has built at least one personal project that real users have tried - even informally (friends, classmates, online communities)
- Genuinely curious about why users do or don't use software, not just how to build it
- Can work independently on a defined task and communicate progress clearly
Nice to have
- Experience calling LLM APIs or integrating AI features into an application
- Evidence of user engagement on a personal project: feedback collected, usage data, or even informal user reactions
- Familiarity with product thinking: understanding user problems before jumping to solutions
