About the role:
Reporting to the Shovel and Drill Supervisor, Industrial Mechanics (Millwrights) in our maintenance departments are responsible for inspect, troubleshoot and diagnose the root causes of equipment problems and take appropriate actions. This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 schedule consisting of days and nights or straight days.
The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.
### In this role you will:
Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
In certain components of this role it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal
Work closely with all other trades, contractors, and other skill sets to acquire the highest availability and reliability of our fleets
Perform all associated duties including regular scheduled preventative maintenance, PM optimization, procedure development, parts requirements, and job plans
Adhere to established maintenance procedures; maintain accurate records of maintenance and
repairs in the work order system.
### Requirements:
Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certification
Valid driver's license
Previous mining experience is an asset
Comfortable working in an outdoor setting in all weather conditions

This position is centered on the maintenance and repair of large-scale mining equipment, including shovels and drills. You'll work hands-on with mobile assets, ensuring safe, reliable operation through inspections, component overhauls, and system diagnostics. If you're a certified Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or experience Maintenance Technician with a background in mining equipment, we encourage you to apply.
