As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the engineering quality and technical execution of distributed energy projects. You will work across internal and external stakeholders to support project development, design review, and asset performance, bringing strong electrical engineering judgment to systems that must meet demanding customer, utility, and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design and provide technical support across distributed energy projects.
  • Review single-line diagrams, load flow studies, and interconnection packages.
  • Collaborate with utilities, customers, and consultants on project engineering.
  • Ensure designs meet electrical codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Support commissioning and operational troubleshooting for energy assets.
  • Additional tasks as required.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the renewables and environment industry, focused on developing and implementing solutions that accelerate the energy transition.
  • Hands-on experience with battery storage energy generation technologies and a proven ability to manage multiple projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with utilities, customers, and external engineering partners.
  • Strong knowledge of IEEE standards and NFPA-related electrical standards.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to travel to client sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PV solar energy generation technologies.
  • Background negotiating contracts and overseeing delivery schedules.
  • Experience with power system modeling tools for load flow studies, as well as solar or storage design software and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency measures.
  • Experience managing consulting engineers and vendors.
  • PE license.
