Highway and Bridge Maintenance Laborer

Job Description

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is looking for a reliable, motivated, and skilled Highway and Bridge Maintenance Laborer with strong work ethics and a positive attitude. This role involves performing highway maintenance tasks, including traffic control setup, bridge maintenance and cleaning, and tree and brush removal. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Perform highway maintenance tasks, including bridge cleaning, maintenance, tree cutting, and vegetation removal.  
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment. 
• Set up and dismantle temporary traffic control measures daily. 
• Ensure all work is carried out in strict adherence to safety guidelines. 
• Operate company vehicles. 
• Use all equipment and tools safely.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• 18 years of age or older. 
• Must have a valid driver's license with at least 5 years of clean driving history.  
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background screening is required. 
• ATSSA Traffic Control Certification preferred. 
• Ability to lift 50-60 pounds and perform physical labor duties for extended periods. 
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime, as necessary. 
• Experience in tree cutting and brush removal preferred.  
• Comfortable working from various heights. 
• Ability to travel away from home for up to 1-2 weeks at a time, including travel to DE, NJ, NY, PA, and VA (hotel expenses covered by the company).
