What you will do:
- Act as the legal shield, providing strategic advisory and managing complex dispute resolution.
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts with customers, suppliers, and various third-party stakeholders.
- Manage the company's litigation portfolio by coordinating strategies with external legal counsel and consultants.
- Ensure organizational activities strictly follow Malaysian law while protecting institutional rights and legal interests.
- Oversee corporate governance policies and carry out internal legal audits to mitigate operational risks.
- Navigate the complex legal landscape of major double-tracking railway infrastructure and energy system upgrades.
- Shield the firm against high-exposure contractual challenges through meticulous mediation, arbitration, and adjudication proceedings.
Experience you need:
- Proven expertise in Construction Law, including litigation, arbitration, and statutory adjudication under CIPAA 2012.
- Minimum ten to twenty years of legal experience, focusing on infrastructure or heavy engineering.
- Solid background in managing government-related contracts and familiarity with standard government procurement processes.
- Exceptional multi-tasking abilities and the professional pedigree to advise high-level institutional and boards.
Nice to have / Bonus:
- Previous experience within a second-tier G7 contractor environment offering agile and versatile legal support.
