Assistant Chemist (organic)

Job Description

• Conduct routine chemical tests according to standard operating procedures, including but not limited to sample weighing, and performing extraction/ digestion, column cleanup, rotary evaporation etc.
• Assist sample cutting and result reporting.
• Operate the analytical instruments (e.g. GC/MS, ICP-MS, HPLC etc).
• Conduct equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Record and maintain the test data in the required format accurately.
• Handle chemicals, solvents, acids, and reagents safety.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above in Chemistry related subjects, e.g. Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Analytical Science.

• Familiar with ISO 17025 quality system and accreditation requirements will be a plus.

• Good communication skills;
• Able to operate the test instrument, e.g., GC/MS, HPLC, ICP-MS, will be an advantage.

• No work experience is required. Internal training will be provided.

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.

• Initiative, well-organized and able to work independently.
• Analytical mind and logical thinking.
