Estimation Consultant - Capital Projects (2 Month Renewable Contract)

In this role, you will provide high-value estimating support for major capital projects, bringing rigorous cost validation and project insight to complex project decisions. This position is well suited to a senior estimating professional who can bring structure, judgment, and credibility to estimate development and assurance across major project phases and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and validate TIC estimates for Pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Design, Project Proposal, and Execution phases.
- Develop and review estimate basis documents, assumptions, exclusions, contingencies, escalation strategies, and estimate methodologies.
- Evaluate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup cost components.
- Conduct independent estimate reviews and estimate challenge sessions.
- Validate contractor, EPC, and consultant estimates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum 25 years of progressive experience in capital project cost estimating.
- Minimum 15 years of direct experience supporting Saudi Aramco capital projects.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing, reviewing, validating, and assuring Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimates for major and mega capital projects.
- Proven experience in upstream Oil & Gas projects.
- Extensive involvement in capital projects exceeding USD 500 million; experience on multi-billion-dollar capital programs preferred.
- Experience with Aspen Capital Cost Estimator (ACCE).
- Experience using proprietary estimating and benchmarking databases.
- Expertise in the AACE estimate classification system.
- Expertise in EPC project delivery models.
- Expertise in construction productivity analysis.
- Expertise in labor all-in rates development.
- Expertise in engineering and construction unit rate development.
- Expertise in cost trend analysis.
- Expertise in escalation and inflation modeling.
- Presently in Saudi Arabia on a transferrable Iqama.
