Residential Service Plumber

About the Role

Horizon and Blue Valley Heating & Cooling is looking for a Residential Service Plumber to diagnose, repair, maintain, and replace residential plumbing systems while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This person will serve as a trusted advisor to homeowners, providing professional recommendations and solutions to meet their plumbing needs. This is a full-time role reporting to the Plumbing Manager.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential plumbing systems and equipment

• Perform service, maintenance, and replacement of water heaters, fixtures, drains, piping systems, and related plumbing components

• Conduct thorough plumbing inspections and identify opportunities to improve system performance, safety, and reliability

• Educate homeowners on repair options, replacement recommendations, and preventative maintenance solutions

• Provide accurate estimates and clearly explain proposed work to customers

• Ensure all work meets local plumbing codes and company quality standards

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with dispatch, customers, and your supervisor

• Keep service vehicles properly stocked, organized, and ready for daily operations

• Complete accurate and timely paperwork, including job notes, invoices, and material usage

• Participate actively in all required training, meetings, and development activities

• Work efficiently to achieve service, customer satisfaction, and performance goals

• Participate in the on-call rotation as needed

• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and work environment

• Obtain any required certifications if not already held

We'd Love to Hear From You If You Have

• 2+ years of residential plumbing service experience preferred

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Experience servicing water heaters, fixtures, piping systems, drains, and common residential plumbing equipment

• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions

• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

• Must prioritize safety and have general knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA requirements

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle tools/equipment, hear, and speak

• Ability to climb ladders, work in hot or cold environments, and operate in tight crawl spaces

• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move 50+ lbs
