Labourer Non Ferrous Receiver (Temporary)

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Non-Ferrous Receiver Labourer for our Montréal-Est site. This is a temporary position, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and classifying non-ferrous materials, as well as verifying their compliance. The individual will actively contribute to the daily operations of the site by performing various material handling tasks and supporting general site activities.

What you will be responsible for :

• Providing quality customer service and communicating pricing to customers;
• Sorting and classifying non-ferrous metals by type and characteristics;
• Weighing materials and entering data into the RECY system;
• Preparing and coordinating shipments and receiving materials;
• Maintaining the general cleanliness of the site and keeping equipment in good condition;
• Performing daily maintenance of equipment and work area;
• Following and applying health and safety standards (wearing PPE).

Qualifications

• You have basic experience operating a forklift (an asset);
• You work safely and follow health and safety standards;
• You are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions;
• You have experience or an interest in metal recycling (an asset);
• You have basic knowledge of metals (an asset);
• You are able to work in a dusty environment;
• You are able to perform physically demanding work.
