Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our Orion delivery team in Lisbon. Orion is a strategic platform supporting the control and supervision of non-financial risk.

🚀 Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services
- Contribute to the evolution and architecture of the Orion platform
- Deliver core features and entity-specific enhancements
- Ensure high code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and best practices
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
- Identify and implement technical improvements (performance, security, scalability)
- Support deployments and contribute to production stability
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Java (8+)
- Proven experience with Spring / Spring Boot
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
- Understanding of non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability)
⭐ Nice to Have
- Experience in banking or financial services
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Experience with Docker / Kubernetes
- Exposure to event-driven architectures or messaging systems

- Fluent English (mandatory)
