Senior Data Engineer (Analytics & Cloud)

Job Description
What you will do:
- Work on modern data platforms, analytics solutions, process automation and emerging AI-enabled capabilities across multiple business domains
- Work independently to develop advanced analytical and data engineering solutions supporting data analysis and ad-hoc insights.
- Design, build and maintain scalable, cloud-native data platforms and pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using modern cloud-native services.
- Collaborate closely with analytics, product, engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable, high-value data solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship, ensuring adherence to established engineering standards and quality procedures.
- Develop and optimise data solutions leveraging modern cloud technologies (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue or equivalent services).
- Take ownership of data solutions throughout their lifecycle, from requirements gathering and development to deployment and continuous improvement.
- Explore and implement modern data, automation and AI technologies to improve operational efficiency, data quality and decision-making
Qualifications
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related quantitative field.
- 4+ years of experience in the field of data analytics;
- Proven experience designing and delivering data engineering solutions in AWS environments.
- Strong SQL expertise and programming skills (Python / PySpark preferred).
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT, distributed processing and modern data architecture patterns.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns and secure data handling practices.
- Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical thinking, ownership mindset and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
