Job Description

We are looking for an Employment Tax Manager to lead our Employment and Expatriate Tax agenda across the Group.

This is a high-impact, UK-based role with a global remit, reporting to the Head of Tax. We are open to considering candidates on either a full-time basis or a part-time basis of 3–4 days per week.

The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a broad and strategically important area of tax, partnering with senior stakeholders across the business and helping shape how Endava manages employment tax risk, governance and compliance as we continue to grow internationally.

As Employment Tax Manager, you will be the Group’s subject matter expert for employment and expatriate tax matters, providing clear, commercial and pragmatic advice across a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment.

You will lead and influence across areas including:

  • UK employment tax compliance, including PSA, P11D/PBIK, STBV and share scheme reporting
  • Global mobility, expatriate tax and cross-border working arrangements
  • Contractor tax risk, including IR35, employment status and worker classification
  • Share scheme tax matters, including global tax reviews, payroll reporting and tax authority filings
  • Payroll tax governance, benefits reviews, controls, documentation and SOX evidence
  • Employment tax risk management, provisions, policy and process improvement
  • M&A due diligence and integration across payroll, benefits, contractors, share plans and global mobility
  • Wider tax projects supporting the Group Tax function

This role is highly visible and will involve close collaboration with Tax, Payroll, HR, Reward, Legal, Finance, Share Plans and business leaders across Endava’s global operations. You will play a key role in identifying risk, driving practical solutions, strengthening controls and ensuring the business is well positioned to respond to changing employment tax requirements around the world.

We’re looking for an experienced employment tax professional with strong technical expertise, sound judgement and the confidence to operate as a trusted adviser to the business. You’ll bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to translate complex tax matters into clear, actionable guidance for stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

You’ll likely bring:

  • Extensive employment and expatriate tax experience, ideally in a global or international environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment tax compliance and related reporting obligations
  • Experience across global mobility, contractor status, share schemes, payroll tax controls and benefits
  • The ability to manage complex, multi-jurisdictional issues with confidence and pragmatism
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A recognised tax qualification, such as ATT or CTA, or a relevant accounting qualification with strong tax-specific experience

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of a broad, global employment tax remit in a dynamic, international business, with the scope to influence policy, strengthen governance and make a real impact across the Group — with flexibility for the right candidate.
