Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Local Time

Location: On‑site Anchorage, AK

Why This Role Matters

At LUX Infusion, the patient experience begins long before therapy starts. The Patient Services Coordinator helps create a calm, welcoming, and well-organized experience for patients, caregivers, and referring providers from the first interaction through each visit.

This role is central to the daily flow of the Ambulatory Infusion Center. By supporting scheduling, registration, patient communication, insurance-related administrative coordination, and front-office readiness, the Patient Services Coordinator helps patients feel informed, cared for, and supported during what may be a complex or vulnerable time in their care journey.

This work matters because every greeting, every appointment confirmation, every update, and every thoughtful detail helps make care feel more personal, seamless, and connected.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities include:

  • Create a warm and welcoming first impression for patients, caregivers, visitors, and referring provider partners.
  • Support a smooth patient experience by coordinating check-in, check-out, appointment scheduling, visit flow, and general front-office needs.
  • Help patients and caregivers understand appointment expectations, required forms, visit flow, and next steps within the scope of the role.
  • Coordinate infusion and injectable therapy appointments, taking into account provider orders, treatment capacity, staffing availability, and patient needs.
  • Serve as a trusted non-clinical point of contact for patient questions, appointment requests, and general service needs, while promptly routing clinical concerns to licensed team members.
  • Support patient comfort by helping maintain a calm, clean, organized, and patient-ready environment in reception, waiting, and other patient-facing areas.
  • Provide thoughtful hospitality support during visits, including comfort items and general assistance, in line with LUX Infusion service standards.
  • Assist with insurance verification, benefits review, authorization tracking, registration updates, and related administrative processes.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient information in the electronic medical record and other operational systems.
  • Support communication with referring provider offices regarding documentation, scheduling coordination, status updates, and administrative follow-through.
  • Prepare daily schedules, patient paperwork, and administrative materials that help the clinical team stay ready and focused on care.
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff, providers, intake personnel, clinic leadership, referring offices, and operational teammates.
  • Bring thoughtfulness, reliability, and follow-through to each patient interaction and administrative detail.
  • Identify and implement better ways to serve patients, providers, and teammates through clear communication, service recovery, and process improvement.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who brings warmth, professionalism, and strong follow-through to the patient experience. A strong fit for this role is someone who enjoys helping people feel welcomed, informed, and supported while keeping the details organized behind the scenes.

You may thrive in this role if you are calm under pressure, attentive to patient needs, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a healthcare setting. You communicate clearly, listen with empathy, and know when to escalate concerns to the appropriate clinical or leadership team member.

This role may be a strong fit for someone with experience in medical reception, patient access, scheduling, front-office coordination, healthcare administration, outpatient clinic operations, specialty practice support, or ambulatory care. Familiarity with patient registration, insurance verification, benefits coordination, authorization tracking, EMR systems, scheduling platforms, and medical terminology can be helpful.

Most importantly, we value someone who brings care, discretion, adaptability, and accountability to the work. You understand that every interaction contributes to a patient’s confidence in their care experience.

Why LUX Infusion

LUX Infusion is committed to redefining the infusion experience through compassion, innovation, and thoughtful service. Our Ambulatory Infusion Centers support patients living with acute and chronic conditions by providing a safe, comfortable, and coordinated setting for infusion and injectable therapies.

At LUX Infusion, patient care is a shared responsibility. Every team member plays a role in creating an experience that feels welcoming, reliable, and deeply human. As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will help shape the moments that patients and caregivers remember: how they were greeted, how clearly they were guided, how supported they felt, and how smoothly their visit came together.

This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful healthcare work while growing with a team that values service, collaboration, and patient-centered excellence.
