Job Description
Head of Real Estate will lead the strategy, development, and management of the company’s real estate portfolio and physical infrastructure. The role oversees site acquisition, leasing, engineering design, construction delivery, and ongoing facilities operations across offices, operational sites, warehouses, and commercial locations. The position requires strong leadership across real estate development, engineering governance, construction execution, and facilities management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s real estate strategy aligned with long-term business growth and operational needs
- Identify, evaluate, and secure new sites including lease negotiations, acquisitions, and renewals
- Lead end-to-end construction and capital development projects from planning and design to execution and handover
- Oversee architectural design, civil engineering, structural works, and MEP systems across all projects
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to engineering and safety standards
- Establish engineering specifications, construction standards, and technical governance frameworks
- Manage contractor selection, tendering processes, and vendor negotiations through structured RFP processes
- Implement strong procurement governance and contractor performance management systems
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, safety requirements, and environmental standards
- Oversee ongoing facilities management including utilities, HVAC systems, building maintenance, and operational reliability
- Implement preventive maintenance programs and asset lifecycle management for all facilities
- Develop and manage capital expenditure budgets for real estate development and infrastructure investments
- Monitor project financial performance including ROI analysis, cost optimization, and budget controls
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including real estate managers, engineers, construction managers, and facilities teams
- Build scalable processes and operational standards for infrastructure management as the company grows
- Manage relationships with landlords, developers, contractors, consultants, and government authorities
- Implement risk management frameworks across construction projects and facility operations
- Introduce modern infrastructure solutions including automation, smart building technologies, and energy-efficient systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Real Estate, or a related field
- 12+ years of experience in real estate development, construction management, engineering, or infrastructure operations
- Proven experience delivering large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong expertise in tendering, procurement, and contractor management
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, and facilities
- Strong understanding of construction processes, engineering systems, and building regulation
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Real Estate Development, Construction Management, or Business Administration
- Professional certifications such as PMP, RICS, or Chartered Engineer
- Experience managing logistics facilities, warehouses, or multi-site operational infrastructure
- Strong financial modeling and capital planning skills for infrastructure investments
- Familiarity with sustainability standards and energy-efficient building systems
