Senior Back-end Engineer

The Impact You'll Make:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will own a set of well-scoped, high-value backend workstreams: new third-party feed integration and a service-layer refactor. You will collaborate with the Senior Architect and Technical PM who manage cross-team dependencies. 

What you'll do:

• Design and build integrations with external providers and data services 
• Implement well-bounded backend features, modules service-layer refactors, new configuration surfaces, operator-facing API endpoints 
• Responsible for API contracts: own and publish endpoint specifications for every feature you ship – REST or SignalR 
• Diagnose and resolve defects. 
• Follow layered architecture and code standards, work within the platform’s established layering model (Controller Service Domain Repository) and its enforced boundaries 
• Contribute to the security and reliability of the platform and improve error handling and observability in real-time flows 

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience writing layered C# on ASP.NET Core. 
• Production experience with Redis pub/sub fan-out patterns.  
• Hands-on with SignalR hubs (GameHub / LobbyHub patterns), group-based message broadcasting, and custom Bearer authentication handlers  
• Understanding the Redis-to-SignalR bridge and how player/game groups are managed. 
• Proven experience designing and shipping integrations with external HTTP APIs that use custom authentication schemes.  
• Hands-on experience designing and operating systems where latency is a first-class constraint, real-time event delivery, or high-throughput message processing.  
• Comfortable reading and writing stored-procedure-driven schemas (Azure SQL / T-SQL) 
• Experience in designing well-documented, versioned APIs and integrations. 
• Fluent English

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) 
• Background in fintech or gaming industry
