Engineer - Geotechnical

Job Description

We're looking for a talented and detail-oriented **Engineer - Geotechnical** to join our dynamic engineering team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of geotechnical solutions for a variety of infrastructure and construction projects. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, applying your analytical expertise and innovative problem-solving skills to deliver high-quality geotechnical engineering services that meet project objectives and regulatory standards.

• Conduct site investigations, soil sampling, and geotechnical testing to gather and analyze engineering data using established procedures and industry best practices
• Perform geotechnical calculations, modeling, and analysis to support foundation design, slope stability assessments, and ground improvement recommendations
• Develop detailed geotechnical reports, design calculations, and technical specifications for projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local UAE building codes and international standards
• Collaborate with civil, structural, and other engineering disciplines to integrate geotechnical solutions into broader project designs
• Utilize CAD software and specialized geotechnical analysis tools to create drawings, models, and visualizations that communicate design intent clearly
• Conduct field supervision and monitoring activities, identifying discrepancies in results and proposing corrective approaches when new challenges arise
• Prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and resource plans in accordance with agreed-upon budgets and timelines
• Stay current with advancements in geotechnical engineering technology, methodologies, and industry best practices
• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to project teams, clients, and stakeholders through written reports and presentations
• Support senior engineers on complex geotechnical assignments while developing your technical expertise and professional capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field with a strong academic record
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, and familiarity with geotechnical analysis software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar tools)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex geotechnical data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear technical reports and present findings to diverse audiences
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in team environments and coordinate effectively across multiple disciplines
• Knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation design, and geotechnical engineering principles
• Familiarity with UAE building codes, regulations, and local geotechnical requirements (preferred)
• Experience with site investigations, soil testing, and field supervision (preferred)
• Professional Engineering License (PE) or commitment to pursuing licensure (preferred)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently under moderate supervision
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work that meets project specifications and standards
