Senior Draftsman / GIS (Roads O&M)

Job Description

Job Purpose

To prepare, review, and maintain engineering drawings for road maintenance and infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with client requirements, applicable standards, and project specifications.

Principal Accountability & Responsibility

• Prepare and update Drawings, for all assets, management drawings, road maintenance drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure all drawings comply with Ashghal requirements, QCS, and relevant standards.
• Incorporate review comments and maintain drawing registers and document control records.
• Support permit applications, utility coordination, and technical submissions.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of drafting experience in roads and infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Road Operations & Maintenance projects.
• Experience with Ashghal projects and TDP preparation is preferred.

Key Skills and Knowledge

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D knowledge is an advantage.
• Qatar Geoportal, using Google Earth and KMZ files and GIS is an advantage
• Strong understanding of road geometry, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Knowledge of Ashghal standards, QHDM, and TDP requirements is an advantage
• Good coordination, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
